Depend on the lord.

That I will accept nothing belonging to you, not even a thread or the strap of sandal, so that you will never be able to say,’ I made Abram rich.

Genesis 14:23

Genesis 14:23 is a passage that highlights the unwavering faith of Abraham, a timeless example for all believers. Abraham's unwavering faith in God sets a powerful example for all believers. He refuses to take anything that is his, demonstrating his faith and humility. Abraham's refusal to take spoils demonstrates his faith and humility, as he acknowledges that everything he has and accomplished is a result of God's grace and providence. This act serves as a reminder that our gifts and talents are gifts bestowed upon us by the Almighty.
Giving glory to God is a central truth in this passage. Abraham's actions reflect a man who understands that his life is meant to be a testimony of God's goodness and faithfulness. His selfless act magnifies the name of the Lord, setting a powerful example for us to follow. As we reflect on this passage, let us ask ourselves whether we are faithfully stewarding the blessings God has given us, maintaining a humble heart, and consciously giving glory to God in all aspects of our lives.
The faith of Abraham inspires us to be bold and courageous in our obedience to God, trusting in His promises and seeking to glorify His name above all else. As we live out our faith in practical ways, may we continually draw near to God and experience the fullness of His blessings. In conclusion, let us aspire to live a life that echoes this truth, just as Abraham did in Genesis 14:23. May the grace and peace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with us all.

Prayer: - Lord, we pray that whatever you have given us, we should be satisfied with it and we should depend on you for every need and not on any human being, Amen.
